Generally, this pan can be installed on these vehicles:
- 1997 to 2004 C5 Corvette
- Some 2005 C6 Corvettes with 4l60E transmission
2005 C6 Corvette: This pan may not work. There may be a clearance issue with the cradle.

PML designed this pan specifically for the C5 Corvette.
This pan allows for adding transmission fluid through the pan as required by 4L60 transmission in the C5 Corvette. The fill hole is on the driver's side. A plug is included with hardware.

The fins on the bottom of the pan and the extra capacity assist with cooling the fluid. Cooler running temperatures reduces wear and tear on the transmission.
Installation Note
Occassionally, the PML pan rubs on the cross member just behind the pan. This can prevent installation.
Filter Information
PML designed this pan to work with the stock filter for the C5 Corvette 4L60E transmission. The pan has cast-in filter supports so no filter extension is needed.

Drain, Fill, and Optional Temperature Sending Unit Locations

The fill/level check and drain holes are on the driver's side.
The fill hole functions the same way as on the stock pan.
A magnetic drain plug, fill plug and new mounting bolts are included with each pan.

Image shows the inside of this PML pan and the locations of the bosses that can be machined for a temperature sending unit. Also shown are filter supports, the drain hole and the fill hole.
To avoid problems with filter extensions, PML cast filter supports into the bottom of the pan. See the section on filters.
For temperature sending units, the standard size is 1/8 NPT. If another size is needed, please call or email. There are three possible locations that can be machined. Select location before adding to cart.

One possible location for a 1/8 NPT hole is the boss near the bottom of the pan on the passenger side, shown in this picture.
Gasket
This Corvette transmission pan works with inexpensive stock gaskets, such as those made of cork or a rubber cork compound. The gasket flange is machined flat for a secure seal.
Any brand of cork/cork composite gasket is good. Here is an example of one from Mahle, available at RockAuto.com. The Mahle part number is W39365.

Shift Cable Bracket
If there is a bracket on the stock transmission pan, check carefully before ordering.
You may have to modify a cable mounting bracket to use this pan. Some brackets do not work with this PML pan even with modification because of the thicker walls and flange.
